Reiki Self-Treatment

Before healing yourself with Reiki, you need to become attuned to the Reiki first degree from a Reiki Master. You cannot learn Reiki by reading a book or article online.

Self Healing Procedures

To begin:
  1. Wash hands as may be appropriate. During all healings, ensure that your legs/feet are not crossed.

  2. State and be in the attitude of Gratitude: 'I thank my Higher Self for being here. I thank Reiki for being here. I thank (your name...) for being here. Reiki please make (your name...) healed whole and complete. So it is. Thank you. Thy will be done.'

  3. You may do Reiki while lying down or sitting. If any position requires it, change to an appropriate position. For example, while doing the back body positions, it is better to lean back. This eliminates a forward bending posture which can congest the upper chest and make you feel uncomfortable and may lead you to avoid doing the back positions or lessen the time.

    Please remember-the back positions are most important, because the back chakras are the input points for energy, whereas the front chakras are the output. If the back (input) chakras are not clear and healed, the energy outflow will not take place properly. Begin with the front body positions. Start the healing procedure by laying of cupped hands in sequence throughout the body (26 points + 5 points for the legs). Desire that you, the person, should be healed.

  4. Wait for the feedback, or three minutes at least, at each position.

    If at any time your hands are drawn away or you are guided to move them to another place away from, but near the starting position, allow this to happen.

    But remember that the technically correct position should also be given Reiki healing for a short while.

  5. When you feel complete with the current position, move gently on to the next position.

  6. After completing the sequence, if you feel you need to go back to some previously done position, do so.

  7. After completing the front body positions, complete the back body positions.

  8. After completing the back, internally state and be in the Closing Attitude of Gratitude: '(Your name...) is healed whole and complete. Thank you. So it is. Thy will be done. I thank Reiki, I thank my Higher Self, I thank (your name).'

  9. This concludes the Full Body Reiki Self-healing treatment.

Notes

After completing the full body reiki self healing, you may want to give additional Reiki to those points/areas of your body that need more healing. For instance, if you have arthritis, you would give additional Reiki to Back thymus, knees, liver, spleen + pancreas, hara and kidneys. Or, if you have diabetes, you would give additional Reiki to the Solar plexus, pancreas and spleen, liver, root and knees. For treating chronic conditions, you can have a look at this article.
