Peace Pilgrim born Mildred Lisette Norman, was an American spiritual teacher, mystic, pacifist, vegetarian activist and peace activist. In 1952, she became the first woman to walk the entire length of the Appalachian Trail in one season. Starting on January 1, 1953, in Pasadena, California, she adopted the name "Peace Pilgrim" and walked across the United States for 28 years, speaking with others about peace. She was on her seventh cross-country journey when she died.

Jiddu Krishnamurti - was one of the greatest teachers of the age. He was famous in his lifetime for first being raised as a 'world teacher' and then renouncing the organisation founded in his honor. He spent the rest of his life teaching all over the world: lecturing, talking to people and writing inspirational diaries. His interests included psychological revolution, the nature of mind, meditation, inquiry, human relationships, and bringing about radical change in society.

Jetsun Milarepa - was a Tibetan siddha, who famously was a murderer as a young man before turning to Buddhism and becoming a highly accomplished Buddhist disciple. He is generally considered one of Tibet's most famous yogis and spiritual poets, whose teachings are known among several schools of Tibetan Buddhism. He was a student of Marpa Lotsawa, and a major figure in the history of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Pandit Gopi Krishna - was a yogi, mystic, teacher, social reformer, poet, and writer. He was born in a small village near Srinagar, in the Jammu and Kashmir State in northern India. He spent his early years there, and later lived in Lahore, in the Punjab of British India. In his youth, Gopi Krishna was an office worker and spiritual seeker.

Ramana Maharshi - was probably the most renowned sage of the twentieth century from India. He was renowned for his saintly life, for being fully realized, and for the powerful energy transmissions that often occurred to visitors in his presence. At the age of 16 he had an experience which changed his life forever and because of which he realized spontaneously that he was the Self seated in the hearts of all beings.

Anandamayi Ma - Anandamayi Ma (née Nirmala Sundari; 30 April 1896 – 27 August 1982) was a Bengali Saint, described by Sivananda Saraswati as "the most perfect flower the Indian soil has produced." Precognition, faith healing and miracles were attributed to her by her followers.
