Affirmations and Healing Intentions with Reiki

Excerpt from the book The Living Handbook of Reiki

Affirmations may be made for healing. These affirmations are intentions that you may want to materialize, and are all stated in the present perfect tense, as having been achieved now. This is so, even if the event is a future one or a past one. Some of the most powerful healing affirmations are:

"(Healee's name...) lives in complete abundance of health, wealth, happiness and joy- so it is (thank you, Thy will be done)."

"... has forgiven his/her past and all those connected with it - so it is...."

"... loves himself/herself as he/she is and forgives himself/herself- so it is..."

"... has accepted divine Reiki healing and the process of being healed...."

A mental or spoken affirmation or intention is in itself a form of healing as it is Reiki empowered. Further empowerment may be made through the Reiki Box Method which is described below.

Reiki Box Method

Take a small non-metallic box with a tight fitting lid. A 35 mm roll-film plastic container is ideal. Any intention you want to Reiki, including healees can each be written on a separate slip of paper and placed in the container or box. Reiki the box for at least 10 minutes a day, affirming : "Reiki please make... (your name)'s Reiki box and the intentions in it healed whole and complete, so it is, thank you, ... etc."

When the intentions manifest, or are time-barred, burn the intention slip. This is very important, as it completes and concludes the energy cycle relating to that intention. (Disposal of the ashes: in a plant, or in the kitchen sink with water.)

Some notes on Affirmations

Give the intentions and affirmations sufficient time to manifest. Avoid giving deadline dates as far as possible. In the case of naturally time-barred situations such as an interview, meeting or examination, the date can be stated in the following manner: "(healee's name's) meeting scheduled on October 15th is healed whole and complete with the results in the best interests of (healee's name)... So it is. Thank you, etc.

Healing affirmations can be made for healing a person, a situation, a relationship, or for creating a situation or relationship. For example:

  • "(Healee's name) and his (wife's/husband's/friend's name) relationship is healed whole and complete, so it is; thank you, Thy will be done."

  • "(name's) board meeting/court case on (date) is healed whole and complete, so it is, etc."

  • "... argument/dispute between... (name) and (name) ... and their relationship is healed whole and complete. So it is, thank you, etc."

  • "... has got married to the best and most compatible husband/wife. So it is... (This may be stated even when there is no one yet on the scene - the right person will soon manifest.)"

All affirmations are stated in the present perfect tense, as having been already achieved now. This is so even if the event is a future one or a past one. Affirmations made in general/global terms have a wider scope of action and often manifest faster.

If the intention does not manifest, re-consider your intention request. Do you really want it ? If yes, then consider what else you may need to heal or so in your life in order that the intention should manifest. For example, if a person has cirrhosis of the liver and is drinking alcohol regularly and not stopping it, then Reiki will take a long time to get a result. By that time, the person may have transited to his next body. Doing Reiki and not working for the results yourself may not get you the results desired - review the fourth principle of Reiki!
